When we realized my son needed help with his speech delay I felt anxious and overwhelmed. From the moment I met Kristen she set my heart at ease and was wonderful to work with. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly my son connected with Kristen and even more surprised by the progress he made each week working with her. My kids all looked forward to her weekly visits. She did a great job of making everyone feel included in the fun while still focusing on my son’s needs. I really can’t say enough good things about our experience with Kristen.

Kristen has been a beacon of light in my son’s struggle with expressive language. From the start she has been approachable and down to earth when it comes to care. She has a large knowledge base, but never undermines your knowledge as a parent. Every strategy we have learned to implement has been introduced in a way so we can easily integrate it into our daily lives. Kristen understands what life is like and has changed our schedule with ease on multiple occasions. Lastly, my son who is suspicious of others has always loved visits with Kristen. I firmly believe that if we were paired with a different SLP my son’s progress would not have been as significant.

Kristen has been an amazing support and is an incredible well of knowledge, resources and ideas. We started working with Kristen when our son was about 20 months old. He had maybe one or two words at the time and seemed to be stuck communicating with only a few signs, hesitant to make much sound at all. He is now 30 months old and his language has exploded. It’s so exciting to see, and he is really proud of himself. Our son loves Kristen and looks forward to seeing her every week, and it is clear that she genuinely cares about him and his progress. We can’t recommend her enough.

Our family had an excellent experience working with Kristen! We met Kristen in the middle of the pandemic and she immediately established warm rapport with my son and problem solved to make him as comfortable as possible doing speech sessions via Zoom at first, and later in person. Kristen made sure that we as parents were on board with the plan and provided written and verbal updates at every meeting. It was always clear to us what the goals were and which strategies she was teaching us. She helped us with several different methods with reducing his rate of speech and increasing his intelligibility. She was able to zero in on the issue and take things incrementally; I felt like my son’s speech improved session to session. Kristen is warm and personable; my older daughter always wanted to stay home from school just so she could also talk to Kristen! His speech and our confidence in helping him learn have both improved immeasurably in just half a year. I would recommend Kristen very highly – she is professional, flexible, reliable, and her care for her clients is paramount.

We absolutely loved working with Kristen! Not only did she get to know my son, who she was working with, but also our family. Her knowledge of speech language development is excellent – everything she talked about regarding my son from his development to how his word pronunciations would change and evolve happened exactly as she said. My son spoke his first word within his first session!
She always arrived prepared with a fun activity to do that was developed not only based on my sons language needs, but it was also personalized to his interests. He always had such a great time! I would highly recommend Kristen to anyone!
